We have officially said goodbye to summer and hello to fall weather. We here at Generals Ridge are hoping for a long fall season, where you are able to enjoy as much golf as you can before the dreaded white stuff lands at the course. We have a number of activities scheduled for the fall for you to participate in.
We hosted our first Breakfast Scramble at the end of September; the weather looked like rain would pour down at any moment but our golfers stayed dry on the course after they started the day with our breakfast buffet. We served 2 types of scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage patties, bacon, fruit and a variety of breads. We enjoyed serving breakfast for a change, that we will open up a breakfast buffet once a month starting in the spring for Any guests to come and enjoy.
We have our second Tee’s & Trivia night scheduled for Friday, October 16th. Play 9 holes of golf; come in for our Mexican themed dinner followed by 10 rounds of trivia. Trivia categories can include current events, music, movies, animals, and misc. You just never know what useless information we will see if you know.
October 25th, we will host out First Annual FootGolf Challenge. With individual and teams awards it is sure to be a hit. We will also have the participants divided into age categories to multiply the amount of winners we have. Best Dresses Team will also take home a prize. Come out with friends and family and enjoy an afternoon of FootGolf.
We have our Quarterback Scramble set for Sunday, Nov 8th. Four person teams playing a scramble format for a fun filled day on the course. We will have contests and games on the course. As each team signs up they will have the chance to pick which NFL team they would like to be, first come basis. We will have raffles and giveaways, with a portion of the days proceeds going to Type 1 Diabetes.
It’s also time to sign up for your membership with us here. If you sign up now for your 2016 membership, 5 or 7 day, you can play the rest of 2015 also. With our memberships you will receive many benefits, such as range balls, discounts in the pro shop, discounts for our in house events plus the chance to play two other courses in the area, Prince William & Forest Greens for a small player’s fee.
We hope to see you out here for just a daily round or at one or more of our events. Stay tuned as this winter we will be announcing our 2016 in house events.
