A few days last week when the weather was nice, but we weren't able to open yet, I received a few calls from a guest looking to play FootGolf. I ended up taking a phone number and would call them back when we were going to get the FootGolf back open after the month of snow being on the ground. I called them on Friday after our maintenance crew did an amazing job pumping out the water, replacing the holes and flags, to let them know we would be open for FootGolf starting Saturday.
I arrived at the course to open on Saturday morning with the rain just coming down. A few phone calls to cancel tee times due to weather, and one phone call asking if we would be open for FootGolf. Come on out!
About 10 am, still raining, James walks in to the pro shop asking if they can still play FootGolf. We discussed the weather and that I couldn't guarantee that with the rain, the cups wouldn't have some water in them. This is when it gets good, he informs me that him and his brother are practicing for the FootGolf Pro-Am, being held in Washington in August. They plan to practice in all types of weather. The two played a round of wet FootGolf, but had a great time because they enjoy this growing sport so much. Jame's brother Shawn, lives in Texas, and has played FootGolf in a number of states. James was back out here practicing yesterday in much better weather than he had on Saturday.
We would like to wish James and Shawn Good Luck in August!
